The fintech intends to pay $605.7 million for the shares that were transferred to the custody of the U.S. government after the bankruptcy of SBF’s businesses. ✧ In a recent submission to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bitwise has decided to retract its registration for its Bitcoin and Ether Market Cap Weight Strategy exchange-traded fund (ETF). The reasoning behind this action remains unknown, but Bitwise’s chief legal officer, Katherine Dowling, briefly noted that the company has postponed plans to launch the fund. ✧ Sales of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have taken another hit, declining over 10% from the previous week, with transactions totaling $85,046,840 since Saturday, August 26, 2023.
